Highland Restaurant is closing
The Highland Restaurant in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, announced on August 2 that August would be its final month in business, ending a run that began in 1936.
Located at 100 Fenn Street next to Pittsfield City Hall, the restaurant has spent 90 years serving Berkshire County residents and visitors. Its menu has included Italian-American favorites, pasta, seafood, sandwiches, and other comfort-food staples.
The restaurant was owned by Pasquale, Gerardo, and Dario Arace, who described The Highland as more than simply a restaurant. In its closure announcement, the family said the business had been its “home and life’s work.”
