Chick-fil-A is making a permanent change it hasn’t made in a decade: adding a new dipping sauce. Spicy Chick-fil-A Sauce will arrive at restaurants across the United States on November 16, 2026, offering a hotter take on the chain’s familiar sweet-and-smoky favorite.
Unlike the chain’s returning seasonal menu favorites, the new sauce isn’t a limited-time promotion. Chick-fil-A says it will be a permanent addition, its first since Sweet & Spicy Sriracha joined the lineup in 2016.

What will the new sauce taste like?
The company describes Spicy Chick-fil-A Sauce as a bolder version of its signature dip, retaining mustard notes, smoky tang and subtle sweetness while adding spicy peppers. That means the idea isn’t to replace the original Chick-fil-A Sauce, but to give customers another option when they want a little more heat.
Chick-fil-A has already published the flavor description and nationwide launch date on its customer-support website. The chain has not described the new condiment as a replacement for any existing sauce.
Where can customers get it?
Beginning November 16, the sauce is expected to be offered in standard dipping cups at Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide. Customers will also be able to buy eight-ounce bottles through drive-thru and catering orders, the company told news outlets.
There is one important distinction for shoppers: Chick-fil-A told Allrecipes it does not currently plan to sell the new spicy flavor in grocery stores, even though some of its other sauces are available at retail. For now, the announced ways to get a bottle are through the restaurant chain itself.
Why this launch is a bigger deal than an ordinary menu change
Chick-fil-A frequently introduces limited-time sandwiches, milkshakes and other specials, but permanent additions to its dipping-sauce lineup are much rarer. Its original Chick-fil-A Sauce debuted nationally in 2006. The most recent new permanent flavor, Sweet & Spicy Sriracha, followed in 2016.
The chain also experimented with Spicy Chick-n-Strips at two Georgia restaurants earlier this year. But that test was separate from the sauce announcement. Chick-fil-A has not announced that spicy nuggets or strips will become permanent nationwide menu items as part of the November launch.
What happens next?
The key date is Monday, November 16. Chick-fil-A’s own website says the sauce will be available at all its U.S. restaurants starting that day, rather than rolling out first in a handful of test markets.
Whether it becomes a favorite will depend on how diners respond to the flavor once they try it. What is confirmed already is the change itself: after a decade without a new permanent dipping sauce, Chick-fil-A is expanding the lineup.
