Dunkin’ is putting a new spin on Halloween takeout with a purple Munchkins bucket that glows in the dark and comes filled with 50 assorted donut holes. The reusable bucket is part of a larger seasonal lineup that also brings back the Spider Donut and introduces a bat-themed purple drink.
Dunkin’ already has plenty of well-known bakery staples, including some of the donuts customers return for year after year. This October, however, the chain is leaning heavily into Halloween-themed treats and collectibles rather than an ordinary donut-box promotion.

What comes in the Halloween Munchkins bucket?
According to Dunkin’, customers receive a random assortment of 50 Munchkins Donut Hole Treats, potentially including new sprinkle-covered Halloween Munchkins. The bucket has a fresh purple design featuring costumed Dunkin’ characters and, for the first time, a glow-in-the-dark finish.
The buckets began appearing at participating restaurants October 14. Dunkin’ also says $2 from each Halloween Munchkins bucket sold goes to its Joy in Childhood Foundation, which supports children facing hunger or illness.
The chain did not specify one nationwide selling price for the bucket in its October 14 announcement. Shoppers should check their local restaurant to see whether the limited-time offering is in stock and what it costs.
The Spider Donut and a new purple drink
The Spider Donut is also back for a limited time. It starts with purple frosting and places a Chocolate Glazed Munchkin in the center to form the spider’s body. Chocolate icing becomes the legs, while vanilla-flavored icing makes its eyes.
Its companion is the Berry Battie Daydream Refresher, a purple drink made with berry clementine and blueberry flavors, oatmilk, Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam and candy eyes. It is a new Halloween beverage, not merely a renamed existing iced coffee.
Dunkin’ held a separate one-day Bat Cup Sleeve giveaway on October 16 for eligible customers purchasing the Berry Battie drink, while supplies lasted. That date has already passed; the promotion should not be confused with an ongoing giveaway.
There are collectibles beyond the food
The chain is offering Spider Donut keychains and Mystery Boo Boxes at participating locations, along with a larger online collection of apparel, accessories and decor inspired by the character it calls Spidey D. Prices and stock vary by product.
For customers interested in the edible part of the launch, the main choices are straightforward: a returning spider-shaped donut, a new themed Refresher and a large, reusable bucket of Munchkins. All three were introduced for the Halloween season rather than as guaranteed year-round menu additions.
