It’s in the name – Five Guys Burgers and Fries is a favorite for well…burgers and fries! Because the menu at Five Guys is mostly limited to burgers and other meat-based menu items, there aren’t many vegan options – even for dessert.
We scoured the menu and scraped up several vegan items, but they aren’t likely enough to make a true meal out of it. (The good news is that you can eat the fries!)
For the complete list of vegan food and drink options at Five Guys, see our detailed guide below!

A quick refresher on a vegan diet
Quickly before we dive into the menu, let’s summarize what a vegan diet entails:
A vegan diet avoids eating any animal byproducts, including:
- Meat (beef, chicken, etc.)
- Fish
- Eggs
- Cow’s milk products (including cheese)
- Honey

Fries
According to the Five Guys menu, their french fries are cooked in 100% peanut oil, so the fries are a vegan-friendly menu item. YAY!

Milkshakes/mix-ins

The milkshakes at Five Guys are made with cow’s milk, so they aren’t vegan-friendly. (Wouldn’t it be nice if they had a coconut milkshake option?! One can dream…)

| Banana | YES |
| Cherry | YES |
