Florida has had a tough year so far – no doubt about it.
With a series of painful factory closures…
Plus a weak tourism season that has helped kill a number of restaurants…
Florida could really use some good news on the jobs front.

Instead, another grocery store is closing – Food Giant in Woodville permanently closed last month.
Grocery stores have always been low-margin businesses even in the best of times.
And these are definitely not the best of times. The food industry is under a lot of pressure today – with spiking food costs, labor shortages, disruptions from tariffs and the trade war, plus a pullback in consumer spending…all combining to put even the strongest businesses under tremendous pressure.
It’s no wonder Food Giant threw in the towel.
