Intro

Tito’s Handmade Vodka has gotten so popular in recent years. In fact, it’s now the best-selling vodka in the U.S. (speaking of the U.S., have you seen the 13 drunkest states?)
Tito’s is the go-to “mid-tier” vodka, meaning it’s got great taste at a good price.
But fans and aficionados of eight other vodkas have a strong case for their favorites.
Here they are, along with their price points ($ to $$$$)…

Grey Goose

The price: $$$
The pitch: Maybe the most well-known higher-end vodka, Grey Goose is known for its smoothness. It’s single-distilled to keep the flavor of its two ingredients: wheat and water.

Belvedere

The price: $$$$
The pitch: This high-end Polish rye vodka is loved for its balance and its ability to be drunk on its own.

Svedka

The price: $
The pitch: Its low price point and its mildness make Svedka a great “starter vodka” and mixer.

Kirkland Signature American

The price: $
The pitch: This one is going to be polarizing. Either you’re down with Costco’s private label stigma (and its 1.75-liter size) or you’re not. If you can get past the lack of name brand, the actual six-times-distilled vodka is a perfect dinner party guest – inoffensive but not bland, with the ability to mix freely with others!
For a more “opinionated” vodka, try the Kirkland Signature French Vodka.

Stolichnaya

The price: $$
The pitch: Like Tito’s, Stoli is a great mid-tier vodka. This Latvian alcohol has fresh, floral notes without overpowering you with the taste of alcohol.

Pinacle

The price: $
The pitch: If you like personality, you’ve come to the right place with Pinnacle. Some will say it’s salty, some peppery, some both, but in any case, it’s not for people who like a meek vodka.

Smirnoff No. 21

The price: $
The pitch: Smirnoff is the most popular vodka in the world for a reason. Its flavors are subtle and its price point is very accessible!

Sobieski

The price: $$
The pitch: A reader favorite, Sobieski is smooth and sharp – just what you like in a vodka!

Tito’s Handmade Vodka

The price: $$
The pitch: We couldn’t leave without giving Tito’s the respect it deserves. Unlike Kirkland or Svedka, Tito’s isn’t super-subtle. You may not be able to quite pick out the flavor out of many competing notes, but you’ll taste something!

Summary

So there you have it – eight vodkas with pretensions to beating Tito’s.
And each has a powerful argument to make, for sure.
But here’s the real question…

The big question

Is Tito’s your favorite vodka or is it one of the other eight we’ve highlighted?
Or did we (gasp) forget one? Let us know in the comments section!
