Summer Sweets
Popsicles are the ultimate cooling snack, perfect after a bike ride or dip in the pool on a beautiful summer day. Whether bought from the ice cream van or made at home, everyone has a memory of biting into an icy treat. It’s not summer without one!
Most store-bought popsicle brands are loaded with extra sugars and dyes. If you want to cut back on sugar levels or additives, try making our Homemade Fruit Popsicles with only the purest ingredients: fruit + coconut water! The natural sweetness of the fruit combined with the tropical taste of coconut is magical!
What’s your favorite fruit? Put it in a popsicle! Berries, kiwis, oranges, grapes – whichever one you choose will taste amazing! Choose one fruit per popsicle or mix them together for a rainbow of color and flavor. You will need a popsicle mold, whatever size and shape you like. As long as it can fit several pieces of fruit inside, it will work for this recipe!
Ingredients Homemade Fruit Popsicles
Fruit – Stick with one, two, or as many fruit pieces that can fit into a popsicle mold! We used strawberries, blueberries, and green grapes.
Coconut Water – Coconut water is full of vitamins and electrolytes to keep you hydrated! It’s tropical, nutty taste adds just the right amount of sweetness to compliment the fruit. There are many different brands of coconut water (some are pink!), just be sure you choose 100% coconut water without any additives.
How to Make Homemade Fruit Popsicles
Step One: Chop the fruit of your choice into bite-sized pieces.
Step Two: Fill popsicles molds with fruit.
Step Three: Pour coconut water into the popsicles molds until the fruit is completely covered. Slide popsicles sticks into the popsicle mold (if needed).
Step Four: Freeze popsicles for at least 4 hours or overnight. Once frozen, remove from molds and enjoy in the summer sun!
Tips
Stuff your popsicle molds with as much fruit pieces as possible to ensure a completely fruity treat!
For a more consistent texture rather than chunks of fruit, blitz all ingredients in a blender before pouring into the popsicle molds.
If you want a creamy popsicle, add a splash of milk or cream to the coconut water before you pour it in the mold.

FAQ
Yes! Homemade fruit popsicles are very healthy when compared to store-bought brands that contain added sugars and dyes. Organic fruit/berries and 100% coconut water are the cleanest ingredients.
Berries are an excellent frozen treat as they are high in antioxidants. Adding them to a popsicle is a fun way to enjoy them all summer long!
Homemade popsicles can last at least several months when stored in the freezer. After about six months, they may start to develop ice crystals which are not harmful, but will affect the popsicles’ taste.
