Coconut Water Storage

Unopened, pasteurized coconut water is surprisingly shelf-stable – it can last up to 10 months in your pantry or as much as 12 months in your refrigerator. Unpasteurized coconut water, by contrast, needs to be refrigerated if it isn’t consumed immediately, although it can also last up to 12 months in the refrigerator. After opening, store all coconut water in the fridge and consume within a week.

Tastes like coconut water from fresh young coconuts. Harmless harvest’s coconut water is by far one of my favorite coconut water brands.

Cons

• Comes in plastic bottles
• One of the more expensive coconut waters on the market. Though, I’ve seen cases of it at Costco for a really great price!

#2 Trader Joes Pure Coconut Water

I buy these for my kid’s school lunches. You can find them at Trader Joe’s grocery store in the cold section. This coconut water has a very real coconut flavor. They also come with some coconut meat, which is super delicious!

Pros

• Taste like the real thing!
• Has a nice nutty flavor
• Smaller size bottle, which is a better choice for packing in lunches.

Cons

• Comes in a plastic bottle
• Only available at Trader Joes

#3 Taste Nirvana Natural Coconut Water

One of the few bottled coconut waters that have a fresh coconut water taste. This coconut water comes from thai coconuts and is made in small batches.

Pros

• Available in a glass bottle
• Commonly found on grocery store shelves
• Taste like coconut water from fresh coconuts

Cons

• Not as fresh tasting as other brands
• Taste Nirvana is one of the higher-priced coconut waters and may not be the best for those on a budget.

#4 Vita Coco

This is a good choice for anyone looking for a good budget-friendly coconut water. I buy this carton coconut water when I’m traveling and also use it in pina colada and smoothies.

Cons
