I consider this drink to be a “detox,” drink for numerous reasons.
It’s healthy.
It’s going to give you a little “wowza,” of energy.
It’s going to make your metabolism sit up and take notice.
But, most of all – it’s a “detox” – from a bland blended drinks!
So, grab just a few pantry ingredients and get ready to detox deliciously!
Apple cider vinegar + cranberry detox drink ingredients + substitutions
For this delicious detox drink, you’ll just need:
- Ice made from filtered water
- ½ cup filtered water
- ¼ cup no-sugar cranberry juice
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 1½ teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

This drink is naturally dairy-free and vegan – yay – and, like most drinks, it’s naturally gluten-free as well. Unfortunately, it isn’t Keto, Paleo, or Whole30 friendly as written, but there are things you can do to make it Keto and Paleo (Whole30 is just a total wash, unfortunately, as most of the ingredients don’t conform).
Recipe substitutions and variations
Most ingredients in this detox drink are Keto and Paleo-friendly – apple cider vinegar and lemon juice are permissible with both diets. (And of course, ice and water are fine too.) However, the cranberry juice is not – because it has so much sugar (Paleo) and, because of that sugar, it has so many net carbs (Keto).
So you CAN replace cranberry juice with your favorite Paleo or Keto alternative…just know that it’s going to taste very different from my recipe.
As an aside, if you want to swap in lime juice for the lemon juice, feel free – it’s delightful. And if you want to give this detox drink some extra flavor and punch, consider swapping in coconut water for the filtered water.
