#10 Carrot Cake

It’s the Easter Bunny’s favorite cake, so you have to have this wonderful cream cheese-enabled deliciousness!
Your call on whether it has raisins or walnuts.
Me? I definitely love the raisins. As for the walnuts, I’d pass except when you bite into one, it helps me fool myself that the carrots and nuts make that third slice healthy!

#9 Hot Cross Buns

OK, this is traditionally a Good Friday thing in many countries, but it’s within the long Easter weekend in any event.
Hot cross buns are a spiced bun with bits of fruit (often raisins) and, of course, that cross shape that gives it its name.

#8 Scalloped Potatoes

Yes, mashed potatoes also play here.
But if mashed potatoes are more popular around Thanksgiving, scalloped potatoes get the nod for Easter.
Stuffing isn’t as common during this meal, so we need to spruce up the potatoes a bit!

#7 Cool Butter Shapes

Nothing makes that Easter table pop a bit like some novelty butter to go with the breads.
The lamb-shaped butter is the most famous and tradidtional one.
But bunny-shaped butter or ham-shaped butter or, really, any interesting-shaped butter play.

#6 Easter Brunch Quiche

Quiche is such a strong, welcome complement to the meats and other Easter staples.
Always a good move during brunch time, quiche allows you to serve eggs in a pie-like format.
Like your eggs differently? There’s another option further on this list…

#5 Easter Bread

What a fun, festive bread that can serve as your centerpiece!
Variants of Easter Bread can be found throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
The Italian version pictured here has sprinkles and a dyed, hard-boiled egg in the middle.

#4 Lamb

Lamb isn’t everyone’s favorite, but it’s tradition!
With so many carbs floating around Easter brunch, it’s nice to have a hearty meat option.

#3 Deviled Eggs

This is the part of the list that gets the debates going.
Deviled eggs fans can make a strong argument for them being #1.
The proof is in the excitement and in how quickly they can go if you haven’t made a ton.
To be fair, let’s look at the other candidates…

#2 Ham

Along with lamb, ham is THE traditional Easter meat.
It’s delicious and needed, but points are deducted because it’s rare to find someone pounding the table for ham as their favorite Easter dish.

#1 The Candy!

OK, there will be many naysayers who say the chocolate bunnies, jelly beans, and various candy eggs don’t count as an Easter dish.
Well, then revert to boring old ham as your #1.
But for the rest of us, the most exciting part of Easter dining is the deluge of exciting candies…
