Restaurants are a tough business in the best of times.
(And these are certainly not the best of times.)
You’ve got food costs, staffing issues, needy customers, supply chains to manage, and more – even if you’re part of a successful and growing chain like Texas Roadhouse.

And even if you’re handling all of that well…sometimes things go wrong anyway.
Such is the story of the Texas Roadhouse in Lexington, Kentucky which was closed after what health inspectors described as a “sewage overflow” issue.
We won’t get too far into the specific details, but the health inspection report cited that the restaurant was “operating with sewage backflow from floor drains in bar and kitchen.”
So, not great. Obviously.
Fortunately, Texas Roadhouse promptly corrected the issue, passed a follow-up health inspection, and reopened – so this story has a happy ending!
(And fortunately Lexington has another Texas Roadhouse, so even when this location was closed for a few days to sort out the issue, locals had options.)
