More rough news out of Florida earlier this week – seven restaurants have just gone bankrupt.
As if the lost factory jobs weren’t already bad enough!
More specifically, a well-loved Italian chain, Bravo Brio, which operates seven Brio Italian Grilles throughout the state, has slid into bankruptcy.

It’s Bravo Brio’s second bankruptcy in five years – never a good sign – but unfortunately it gets even worse.
You see, management has stated that they intend to use the bankruptcy in part to exit unprofitable restaurants.
Bravo Brio operates about 50 restaurants around the country, so it seems likely that at least some of those restaurants will be closing down. We have no word on whether any of the impacted restaurants will be in Florida. (It’s just too early to know right now.)
The Brios in Florida include locations in:
- Orlando
- Tampa
- Sarasota
- Palm Beach Gardens
- Naples
- Fort Lauderdale
- Pembroke Pines
It’s a sad state of affairs, for sure – especially for staff, who now have this big bankruptcy hanging over their heads as they try to do their jobs.
