Carrier oil stick is great for those who don’t want to carry liquid carrier oils around with them. Just use this solid oil in place of a carrier oil.

A carrier oil stick is great for those who don’t want to carry liquid carrier oils around with them. All you have to do is swipe this on your skin, add your essential oil on the swipe and rub in! No more messy hands from using a liquid carrier oil!
You can purchase carrier oil sticks online for close to $15 but you can make them yourself for under $4 a stick!
Essential oils I use topically on a weekly basis:
- Frankincense – on my face and whole body
- Lavender – on my feet and whole body
- Tea Tree – on my face when I have a blemish
- Geranium – on my face
- Jasmine – on my face.. this essential oil is AMAZING for your skin!
- Helichrysum or PanAway – on my muscles
- Vetiver – on my feet before bed
Why use a carrier oil?
Carrier oils ensure that EOs applied topically are comfortable. Dilution with a carrier oil does not dilute the effect of the EO, and prevents waste due to excessive application.

Thank you for what looks like a great recipe!
Just wondering if the next time you make your own, if you could weigh your ingredients and then post that info.
Thinking that would make for a much more accurate formula.
Perhaps?
Thanks
Just saw this and wanted to know can This be used to help chafed skin. I’m allergic to things like lanolin and most store bought stuff has it in it
What does Jasmine and Geranium do for your face?
Could I add some Essential oils to mix as I am making the stick, so that I have different “flavored” sticks to travel with, rather than the stick AND a bottle of EO ?
Sure! It’ll work just like a lotion bar.
How much oil can you add to the stick to make it like a lotion bar?
Will these melt and/or become too soft in hot climate?
They’ll get soft if they get really hot. I wouldn’t leave it out in the sun in the summer.
I just ordered the stuff to make these carrier oil sticks.. which sound amazing to me!! Couple questions..do you have any idea what the shelf life of one of these sticks would be? and can I just open Vitamin E oil capsules.. or do I need to actually buy it in the bottle ?
Thanks.. love your emails!
