Costco Makes Brownies?!
The Costco brand is known for fantastic foods and groceries, in both value and taste! But if you’ve run out of their acclaimed brownie mix or can’t make it to the store, try our Costco Almond Flour Brownies recipe for an excellent dupe!

Many brownie recipes are made with regular flour, but these are special in that they’re gluten-free! Almond flour provides a moist bake, giving these brownies a decadent flavor and crumb. We take the recipe one step further in making it egg-free, as well. An egg replacer is a combination of flours and starches which help bind ingredients together in a recipe. There are also the additional benefits of no cholesterol and added fiber!
Baking with almond flour can be finicky, so make sure to review the Tips & Troubleshooting section below. Sometimes a few simple techniques or swaps are necessary to produce the most delectable dessert!
Ingredients for Costco Almond Flour Brownies
Butter – Butter adds a richness to the brownies, as well as keeps them from sticking to the baking pan.
Sugar – We use granulated sugar, but brown sugar, maple syrup, or whatever your preferred sweetener will do!
Egg Replacer – An egg replacer is made from a combination of flours and starches to mimic the binding abilities of a chicken egg. The benefits are no cholesterol and added fiber. If you prefer to use an actual egg, feel free!

Almond Milk – Using almond milk enhances the nutty flavor of the brownies. Oat milk, coconut milk, or other non-dairy beverages are also acceptable substitutes.
Vanilla – Just a touch of vanilla rounds out the sweetness! Use either vanilla paste or extract.
Almond Flour – Almond flour ensures this recipe is completely gluten-free! A finely ground almond flour is necessary to ensure the structure holds up when baking.
Cocoa Powder – Look for unsweetened cocoa powder for a luscious, chocolate flavor.
Salt – Only a pinch! If you’re low sodium, eliminate the salt (and ensure you select unsalted butter).
Baking Powder – Baking powder is the rising agent to ensure the brownies lift in the oven.
Sliced Almonds – Delicious almond slices dot the brownie batter, giving a fantastic crunch!
Chocolate Chunks – As the brownies bake, the chocolate chunks melt into molten bits of heaven. But you could try different flavors of chocolate chips or M&Ms!
Optional (Hot Fudge & Sprinkles!) – These Costco Almond Flour Brownies are very decadent, but you can kick it up a notch with hot fudge & sprinkles!

How to Make Costco Almond Flour Brownies
Step One: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step Two: Cream together butter and sugar, then mix in egg replacer, almond milk, and vanilla.

Step Three: Add remaining ingredients to the bowl and mix until thoroughly combined.

Step Four: Prep a small baking dish with butter or cooking spray. Pour batter into the pan and spread evenly.

Step Five: Bake in oven for 30-35 minutes, until a knife in the center comes out mostly clean (a few crumbs is ok!).

Step Six: Cool slightly, then slice, drizzle with hot fudge + almonds (or sprinkles!), and enjoy!
Tips & Troubleshooting
If your brownies sink in the middle, they may be over-mixed or underbaked. Fold in the almond flour carefully and try to bake for 40 minutes at 325.
Ensure you are using finely ground almond flour! Using a coarse almond flour may not hold its structure when baked.
If your brownies aren’t rising while in the oven, try adding another teaspoon of baking powder.
If the brownies seem too crumbly, add another binding agent, such as 1 tablespoon cornstarch or 1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum.
