Fall is officially here, and I’m celebrating by decorating my house and diffusing my favorite fall diffuser blends! Below you’ll find my favorite recipes along with a free printable.

Don’t you love the smell of fall? During this season, I like to enjoy the aroma of pumpkin lattes, spices, crisp air, and rain. It’s also my favorite time of the year because I love cozy sweaters, campfires, and comforting food. So if you’re ready to kick off fall, here are some tips and recipes for using essential oils to fill your home with the beautiful smells of Autumn.

What Are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are the most potent part of a plant. They are distilled from shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes, fruit, rinds, resins, and herbs. Many people call essential oils the lifeblood of plants because they carry oxygen and nutrients within the plant and are part of the regenerative process of the plant. They consist of over 100 different natural organic compounds.
Why Should I Diffuse Essential Oils?
Aromatic uses of essential oils can heighten the senses and have positive effects on the mind and body. Inhale the oil directly from the bottle: smell it! You can rub a drop or two on your hands and cup your nose or inhale directly from the bottle. Diffuse the oils with a diffuser which disperses the oils in a micro-fine vapor throughout the air. A diffuser does not heat the oils, which can damage their therapeutic properties.

My Favorite Essential Oils
Not all oils are created equal. Just like the food you eat, the oils you use should be as pure, wholesome, and free from extra “stuff” as possible. The oils that I have chosen to use and feel confident using in all my recipes (as well as for therapeutic reasons) are Young Living essential oils. I choose Young Living for many reasons after reading and researching other oils. As you approach these recipes, keep in mind that my experience and expertise are with Young Living oils. Whether you use these oils or not, it is crucial to ensure that the oils you choose to work with are safe and pure. Many things can compromise the quality of essential oils, from the soil conditions to harvesting to manufacturing and distribution. Also, because essential oil is concentrated and potent, you’ll want to be sure your oils are free from pesticides, chemicals, etc…
Where To Buy Diffusers
I have purchased many diffusers online from Amazon, Young Living, and from Mountain Rose Herbs. I have found that the diffusers from Young Living and Mountain Rose Herbs are well built and work for several years.
