Finally! 3 Buc-ee’s Are Set to Grand Open Soon

Anyone roadtripping to a Buc-ee’s for the first (or fiftieth) time has the same thought: “When can I get one of these closer to me?”

Well, for three lucky cities, the time is coming soon…hopefully…

There are currently 54 Buc-ee’s that are open. And they’re adding more a decent clip. But if you follow Buc-ee’s building schedule closely, you know that delays are very common and the schedules are constantly changing.

Fortunately, we study Buc-ee’s closely, so here are the next three Buc-ee’s we believe will open.

#1 Murfreesboro, Tennessee

We believe the third location in Tennessee will be the next Buc-ee’s to open.

They broke ground in late 2024. It usually takes roughly a year and a half (give or take a few months) to go from groundbreaking to opening, so the latest estimates of early 2026 seem on target.

Giving us more confidence, a local Councilmember recently affirmed the beginning of 2026 as the expected opening.

#2 Huber Heights, Ohio

This would be Ohio’s very first Buc-ee’s, so it’s highly anticipated!

If you’re scratching your head about where Huber Heights is, it’s in Southwest Ohio near Dayton.

The expected open date was originally December of 2025, but it’s been moved back to April 2026.

What’s giving us confidence is that Buc-ee’s started the hiring process for managers of this location in July.

#3 San Marco, Texas

As if Texas needs another Buc-ee’s (well over half of them are in Buc-ee’s home state), San Marcos is right on the heels of the Tennessee and Ohio locations.

They broke ground in January 2025 at which point the expected opening date was May 2026.

But as we know well, that could slip.

We’ll be here checking in from time to time with updates, but for now, expect Tennessee, Ohio, and Texas to get the next three Buc-ee’s!
