Homemade Ginger-Turmeric Tea Recipe
For this recipe you will need ground or fresh ginger root, fresh or ground turmeric root, black pepper, cinnamon sticks, fresh lemon slices and honey or maple syrup. This turmeric ginger tea comes together quickly and only requires a few minutes to make!
If using fresh roots, grate the ginger and turmeric root with a grater.
In a tea infuser, add 3 tablespoons freshly grated turmeric, 2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger root, a pinch of black pepper, 1 cinnamon stick, and a few slices of lemon. If using dried ingredients, add one tablespoon of turmeric powder, one and a half tablespoons of ground ginger powder, a cinnamon stick and a slice of lemon.
Pour 4 cups of hot water into the tea infuser and allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes.

Strain the tea and pour it into two serving mugs, sweeten with raw honey and top with a slice of lemon, squeeze of lemon juice, and a pinch of cayenne pepper (optional).
If you don’t have a tea infuser you can heat the water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the ginger, turmeric, cinnamon and lemon and remove from the heat. Allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes. Pour the tea over a fine-mesh strainer and sweeten with teaspoon of honey.

Ingredients
