Lettuce wraps are amazingly versatile! You can make wraps with specific flavors or use what you have in the fridge. Wraps are great for using up leftovers! And bonus, you don’t need silverware to eat them! They act as both a dish and added crunch for the toppings.
The key to Perfect Lettuce Wraps is having a variety of textures. You will need a sauce or creamy element, hearty protein, and crunchy bits. This makes eating the lettuce wraps exciting and more satiating!
In this recipe, we have created three different versions: Spicy Peanut, Ranch Burger, and Pepperoni Pizza. Make one of each for a meal full of flavor! Or prep large portions of one version and set up for a Perfect Lettuce Wraps dinner party. They are guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser!
Ingredients for Perfect Lettuce Wraps
Romaine Lettuce Leafs – Find romaine lettuce leafs that are large enough to hold toppings. Other acceptable lettuce varieties are butter, Bibb, or even cabbage.
Spicy Peanut
Veggie or Beef Crumble – The protein for the Spicy Peanut wraps can be either veggie or beef crumble. Spice with garlic, cumin, and pepper to accentuate the other flavors.
Shredded Carrots – Shredded carrots provide both texture and a slight sweetness. Carrot chips can work as well.
Spicy Peanut Sauce – For a quick version, mix 1 tsp hot sauce (we used sriracha!) with 2 tbsp peanut butter. Or if you have more time, try this version!
Crushed Peanuts – Crushed peanuts add the best crunch and boost the nutty taste of the sauce!

Ranch Burger
Veggie or Beef Burger – Pick the burger you like best! Slice in half to better fit into the lettuce leaf.
Pickle Spear – Pickles are an iconic flavor for burgers. Just a single spear is needed to give that snappy, zesty bite!
Shredded Cheese – We used a mix of shredded cheddar and mozzarella, but use what you have in the fridge, whether shreds or slices.
Ranch Dressing – Who doesn’t love ranch? Use your favorite brand or make your own homemade version!
Pepperoni Pizza
Pepperoni Slices – Depending on the size of the pepperonis you have, use between 4-6. You can even try salami, deli slices, or shredded chicken!
Mozzarella – Fresh mozzarella adds both creaminess and subtle tang. Shredded mozzarella can be used instead, but we really recommend fresh!
Mini Sweet Peppers – Mini sweet peppers are like tiny bell peppers. They have a great bite and give body to the wraps.
Dried Dill – Spices such as dill, oregano, and basil are excellent for lettuce pizza wraps!
