A Washington food company is preparing to lay off more than 100 workers at one of its facilities this fall, according to a recently filed WARN notice.
Twin City Foods, a longtime frozen vegetable producer, will eliminate 109 positions at its Ellensburg warehouse, with the layoffs expected to begin November 2. The notice was filed with Washington’s Employment Security Department on August 21.

The Ellensburg facility is one of the locations operated by Twin City Foods, which is headquartered in Stanwood, Washington. The company produces and distributes frozen vegetables, with products primarily distributed throughout Washington and Michigan.
The company has been in the frozen vegetable business for more than 80 years. Its website says Twin City Foods currently operates four facilities and employs about 900 people.
