Big Chicken has a lot going for it.
For one, Shaq is a co-founder!
But let’s talk about the food:
The Shaq Attack, which is loaded with bbq, pepper jack cheese, and jalapeno slaw, is a perennial favorite…
As is the Ultimate, a fried chicken sandwich loaded with mac & cheese and fried onions.
Really, everything is good, and the portion sizes are big.
And if you haven’t been to a new restaurant opening, let me tell you: They’re a TON of fun…

If you discover that a new Big Chicken is coming to a neighborhood near you, get in line for opening day.
Traditionally, new Big Chickens give a year of free food to the first 34 people in line in a nod to Shaq’s basketball jersey.
(Basically, they give you a gift card that is loaded up with $10 a week, every week, for a year.)
It’s a big deal.
And if you live in one of these seven locales, you’ve got a new Big Chicken either on its way or just opened.

Address: 6054 US Highway 98, Hattiesburg, MS 39402
Notes: This will be Mississippi’s first Big Chicken – the nearest one right now is in Baton Rouge, Louisiana – but I bet it won’t be the last!

Address: 9437 West Higgins Rd, Rosemont, IL 60018
Notes: When this opens, it’ll be the second Big Chicken in Illinois, and not surprisingly, it’s going to be in a Chicago suburb. (The other location is in Arlington Heights, also a Chicago suburb.) This one is strategically located pretty near O’Hare, so that’ll generate lots of great traffic.

Address: 9749 N Fwy Ste 101, Fort Worth, TX 76177
Notes: This is the first Big Chicken (opened in September) in the Dallas-Fort Worth megalopolis, with other locations already serving happy customers in Houston, Richmond, Lubbock, and Austin.

Address: 913 Santa Anita Avenue, Minden, NV 89423
Notes: This Big Chicken (which opened on November 25th), is the fourth in Nevada and the second outside of Las Vegas – the other location is in Carson City.

Notes: Michigan’s third Big Chicken opened in October in Livonia, a suburb of Detroit. (Makes sense – it’s where all the people are!)
The other two locations are in Hartland (another Detroit suburb) and Clio (a suburb of Flint).

Notes: Big Chicken opened in Lubbock in August, and it immediately made a huge splash. The franchisee who’s running it plans to open five(!) additional Big Chickens in the coming years, including one in Oklahoma City.
