It’s so convenient when you can get your gas and your food at the same place.
No going a mile in the other direction and then having to execute a U-Turn in traffic just to get to a disappointing fast food choice.
A good convenience store has some pre-made sandwiches and maybe some alright-looking pizza and hot dogs that have been under lights all day.
A better convenience store has made-to-order sandwiches and maybe a decent fast food restaurant attached.
The best convenience store (aka Buc-ee’s) has their own real-deal, freshly-made-in-store barbecue with strong options like the brisket sandwich.
Add to that their kolaches (both savory and sweet Czech pastries), Beaver Nuggets, a jerky bar, and delights like the sausage on a stick and fudge, and Buc-ee’s can’t be beaten for food!

How disappointing is it when you have to ask for a key and go around the side to a dirty, impossible-to-find-the-light-switch bathroom?
So having the guarantee of a huge, many-stalled, super-clean bathroom is a big plus.
Unless you’re going to Disney World, you’re not finding better bathrooms.

Buc-ee’s travel centers are open 24/7 so you never have to worry about a mistaken pit stop.
And they’re located right off of MAJOR highways.
As we’ve mentioned, right there for all your gas, food, and bathroom needs. Maybe even a souvenir or two.
The only reasonable complaint is that we’d love MORE Buc-ee’s!

Like any good treasure hunt, you may even find some extras at your Buc-ee’s location.
Maybe the largest car wash in the world (the location in Katy, Texas)!
Or if you need an alternate fuel, you can find Buc-ee’s that have Tesla charging stations, ethanol-free gas, and DEF.
You can even buy 50-pound bags of deer corn year-round at more than two dozen Buc-ee’s.

OK, yeah, we can’t leave without mentioning the size of Buc-ee’s.
A typical location gets to 50,000 square feet, and the largest new ones top 70,000 square feet.
To give you a feel, those numbers are about 10 times the size of a typical Sheetz or Wawa (which are really nice!).
