Intro (continued…)

The only thing I considered in this ranking is taste.
Not price. Not calories or any of that other stuff. Just how good it tastes!
And this is just my opinion.
You can disagree – because it’s all a matter of taste!
So with that in mind, let’s start with an old favorite:

#10: Grilled Chicken on the Barbie

I have a confession: This is one of the dishes I’ve ordered the most at Outback Steakhouse.
The chicken is perfectly fine – but what really elevates it is the barbecue sauce. It’s the perfect combination of smoky and sweet.
And of course, you get two sides with it – my advice? Spring for the steakhouse mac & cheese and the fries.
(Or if you’re feeling health-conscious, change the mac & cheese over to the asparagus instead.)

#9: The Bloomin’ Burger

Given the name, it’s probably no surprise to you that this burger comes topped with a few Bloomin’ onion petals, as well as your standard burger fare – American cheese, pickles, onion, lettuce, and tomato.
It’s a good burger! And it comes with one side, which should probably be the fries.
Oh, and speaking of fries…

#8: Aussie Cheese Fries

Do you love fries, cheese, bacon, and ranch dressing?
Of course you do.
And that’s why the Aussie cheese fries are a perfect dish.
Technically they’re an appetizer, but honestly you could probably make a whole meal out of them on their own.

#7: Sirloin & Ribs

If you don’t love steak and ribs, I don’t know what to say to you.
Sure, ribs are a little messy…but it’s the absolute BEST kind of mess, when they’re slathered in barbecue sauce!
For your two sides, definitely get the Aussie fries to complete the look, and consider the asparagus so you’ve got lots of finger foods.

#6: New York Strip (16 oz.)

New York Strip is a good cut of steak, and the 16 oz portion here is plenty generous.
Of course, in addition to the steak, you get two sides – my suggestion would be to get the loaded mashed potatoes and the wedge salad. (Of course, feel free to do your own thing, that’s just my advice!)

#5: Gold Coast Coconut Shrimp

I’d never had coconut shrimp before Outback Steakhouse, and honestly one of my first Outback memories is discovering these shrimp and just how…good shrimp could be.
(Previous to that, I’d only had Red Lobster’s popcorn shrimp, which are good – but let’s face it, Outback’s coconut shrimp are on a whole different level.)

#4: Melbourne Porterhouse (22 oz.)

If you are really, really, REALLY hungry – this is going to be the meal for you.
22 ounces of steak is well over a pound, and the Porterhouse cut is well-known for being juicy and tender. (It includes both a NY strip and a filet mignon, so you’re getting two of the best!)
Of course, don’t forget you have two sides to go with it, and you still have to be awake enough to drive afterward!

#3: Bloomin’ Onion

Let’s face it – the Bloomin’ Onion is just about the most iconic dish on Outback’s menu.
And it’s delicious. (Especially the sauce. I don’t know what they put in it, but it’s perfect.)

#2: Victoria’s Filet Mignon

Filet mignon is known for being lean, flavorful, and juicy (if well-cooked), and Outback’s is no exception.
This is, in my opinion, the best steak on their menu – make you get the 8oz (it’s worth the upcharge) and enjoy your two sides.
In fact, this would have won #1 on my list except for a minor detail:

#1: 6 oz Victoria’s Filet Mignon & Lobster

It’s only appropriate that a steak win the ranking for best Outback Steakhouse dish. After all, it’s in the name!
But of course, add in a lobster tail, and everything tastes better!
And of course, enjoy your two sides with it.
