Virginia celebrated its first Buc-ee’s – which opened earlier this Summer near Harrisonburg off I-66 – in fine fashion.
After all, Buc-ee’s is nearly universally beloved for its clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and delicious (and inexpensive) food.
But Buc-ee’s has much bigger plans for the Old Dominion than ‘just’ one supersized gas station…

Two (or three) to go
Not content with dominating I-66, Buc-ee’s is moving development forward on two other parcels – one in New Kent, off I-64 just east of Richmond, and the other in Stafford off I-95 south of DC.
Buc-ee’s has always loved big highways, cheap land, and lots of traffic – which is exactly what these locations promise.
There’s also rumor of a planned fourth location in Virginia – no confirmation yet, but I’ve highlighted a few likely scenarios for your consideration.
