Pennsylvania is having a rough 2025.
With factories closing left and right…
People have been yearning for good news.
Instead, they get hit with the Rite Aid bankruptcy – which has led to the total closure of 42 pharmacies across Pennsylvania.

Rite Aid is planning to close or sell every pharmacy as it winds down operations, so it’s no surprise that the losses are so widespread throughout Pennsylvania.
Nonetheless, it’s still a real blow to hundreds of hardworking Pennsylvanians as the state navigates extensive economic challenges.
And between trade disruptions from tariffs…
The massive decline in manufacturing nationwide…
And, of course, stubborn inflation and increasing fears of recession…
It’s a tough time to be in the retail business – or to be looking for a job.
So if you have any words of advice or encouragement for Rite Aid’s newly unemployed staff at all these pharmacies – please share in the comments!
