Both bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar have been used for beauty and medicinal means for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Each ingredient has long been renowned for the benefits of purification and detoxification.
Bentonite clay is a soft, pillowy material that originates from the ash of volcanoes. The largest deposit of bentonite clay was discovered in 1898 near Fort Benton, Wyoming which is where it derived its name. Over 70% of the world’s supply is still located there!
There are two types of bentonite clay: Sodium Bentonite and Calcium Bentonite. The amount of minerals differs, as in the name, but the main difference is that sodium bentonite may absorb more toxins. However, both can be used topically to achieve similar results. When used in a face mask, the clay particles attract toxins that attach to the bentonite and are washed away when the mask is removed. You may see clearer skin with just one use!
Apple cider vinegar is the other side of the mighty clay mask. The citric acid in apple cider vinegar helps brighten and even exfoliate! When paired with the bentonite clay, the mask works in synchronous ways. As the clay removes impurities, the apple cider vinegar tightens pores and smooths fine lines, revealing your most beautiful skin.
When applying the bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar face mask, stop use immediately if you experience any discomfort or irritation. At that point, you should consult your healthcare provider before resuming your beauty routine.
One of the things I love best about this bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar face mask is how easy it is to make – you genuinely just need five minutes to put it together, and then of course you’ll want to let it sit on your face for a while. How to make this simple bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar face mask
Step One: Measure 1 tablespoon of bentonite clay in a small bowl.
Step Two: Add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to the clay and mix until a smooth consistency. If the mixture looks too dry, add a bit more apple cider vinegar. The mask should be thick and pudding-like. If using additional oils, add them to the bowl and stir until combined.
Step Three: Using your hands or a facial brush, scoop the mask from the bowl and spread evenly onto your face, avoiding the eyes and mouth.

Step Four: Relax and leave on your face for 10-20 minutes for the ingredients to work their magic.
Step Five: Rinse with warm water and pat your face dry with a clean towel. You look beautiful!
