This DIY green tea face wash is rich in antioxidants and is gentle on the skin. It’s great for all skin types and is made with natural ingredients.
I love using a variety of face cleansers during different times of the year. When my skin is normal I use my homemade face wash. When I’m struggling with oily skin, I use an apple cider vinegar face wash. But when I’m looking for anti-aging properties, I go with this homemade green tea cleanser!
Adding tea to face wash is a great way to add medicinal herbs to your skincare routine. Green tea is amazing as it’s rich in antioxidants that help to fight free radicals, and also helps to fight signs of aging like fine lines. This gentle cleanser is great for all skin types, even sensitive skin.

Best Essential Oils To Use
Essential oils not only add a lovely scent to this green tea face wash, but they also add antibacterial properties. Some essential oils offer anti inflammatory properties and promote healthy skin. Below are my recommendations for using essential oils in this recipe:
- Oils for Dry Skin: Frankincense, ylang ylang, and clary sage are some of the best essential oils for dry skin.
- Oily Skin: Tea tree, cypress and citrus oils are my go-to for oily skin types.
