Ingredients + substitutions
Rosemary Simple Syrup Ingredients:
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup water
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, roughly chopped
Fresh Rosemary Apple Cider Vinegar Refresher Ingredients:
- Ice
- 1 tablespoon rosemary simple syrup
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup seltzer water
Substitutions
- Seltzer water: If you’d prefer to add a flavored seltzer water (or just don’t have plain), I’d highly recommend lemon seltzer (especially Spindrift brand). Just omit the lemon juice if you’re using a flavored seltzer water.
- Fresh rosemary: Dried is also fine. The taste won’t be quite as strong, but it should still do the trick. You can also sub in rosemary essential oil, just make sure it’s a food-grade essential oil, not just the topical stuff. Also – did you know that you can freeze rosemary so that you always have it on hand? Just wash it and dry it well, and store in a resealable plastic bag. It will store well in the freezer for up to 3 months.
