If you like your jolt of caffeine to come enveloped in a super creamy combination of frothy eggnog and milk – well – this is the drink for you!
It’s a warm hug.
It’s a down blanket.
It’s your feet kicked up in front of a fire on a chilly winter’s evening.
Or, in the inverse:
When it’s incredibly hot out, but yet, you are longing for the feeling of a cozy winter’s evening, this little latte will transport you there.
And I don’t think I’m the only person in the world who when the temperature reaching a scorching temperature just laments silently, “Man. I could really go for a turkey dinner with all of the trimmings.”
It must just be a “grass is greener” scenario, but I digress.
You’re going to love this latte!
Starbucks eggnog latte ingredients and tips
To make this like Starbucks, you’ll need:
- 3 oz. hot espresso
- ½ cup full-fat milk
- ½ cup eggnog
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons whipped cream (here’s how to make Starbucks whipped cream)
- Sprinkling of fresh nutmeg
- Sprinkling of ground cinnamon
How to make this recipe vegan
You’ll need to replace the milk, the eggnog, and the whipped cream.
For the milk, I’d sub in coconut milk, which you can easily buy at the store. For the whipped cream, you can either buy almond milk whipped cream at the store or make my (delicious!) coconut milk whipped cream recipe. For the eggnog, storebought vegan eggnogs are still not very good in my experience – I’d try this eggnog recipe.
FAQ
It tastes like all of the good things! Cream, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla are the predominant flavors in eggnog, which is why it tastes like a warm kitchen on a cold night.
