It’s hard to believe we’re already 6 months into this year!
Every year, we see wellness trends come and go. But this year there have been some habits in particular that I truly believe are life-changing and are here to stay.
From fitness to nutrition, here are the top five wellness trends you need to try this year!

Top 5 wellness trends in 2024
Here are the top 5 wellness trends I’m loving in 2024:
#1 Low-Impact Workouts
While traditional high-intensity workouts like weight training and cardio still have their place, there’s a noticeable shift towards low-impact workouts.
Low-impact exercises such as Pilates, yoga, and walking offer the benefits of physical activity without the stress on joints and muscles.
Pilates, in particular, is having a moment. The controlled movements and emphasis on core strength make Pilates a favorite for those looking to improve flexibility, posture, and overall body tone without the risk of injury.
Personally, I’m a huge fan – the results speak for themselves, and it’s a workout I genuinely look forward to.
Whether you’re new to fitness or a seasoned pro, low-impact workouts are a must-try in 2024!
#2 Mocktails: Embracing Alcohol-Free Options
The movement towards alcohol-free living is growing stronger, with more people recognizing the negative impacts of alcohol on health and well-being.
This shift has led to a boom in the popularity of mocktails – delicious, alcohol-free beverages that offer the social experience of drinking without the hangover.
One of the most exciting developments in this trend is the creation of wellness-focused mocktails and elixirs. These drinks aren’t just alcohol-free; they’re often infused with ingredients that promote relaxation and well-being.
The “sleepy girl mocktail,” for example, has gained a cult following for its calming properties. Try these 5 apple cider vinegar drinks!
In 2024, expect to see even more health-conscious mocktail recipes and options everywhere, proving that you don’t need alcohol to enjoy a great night out. Cheers to that!
#3 Gut health and healing your gut
Gut health continues to be a significant focus in the wellness community, and 2024 is no different.
The connection between a healthy gut and overall well-being is well-documented, with gut health impacting everything from digestion to mental health.
This year, there is a growing emphasis on healing the gut through diet, probiotics, and lifestyle changes.
Fermented foods like kimchi, sauerkraut, and kefir are popular for their gut-friendly bacteria, while prebiotics, found in foods like garlic and onions, help feed those beneficial microbes.
Personalized gut health plans, which may include microbiome testing and tailored dietary recommendations, are becoming more accessible, helping people address digestive issues (like leaky gut) and enhance their overall health.
#4 Minerals and electrolytes
Our water supply is often demineralized, leading to a renewed interest in minerals and electrolytes to support overall health.
Proper mineral balance is crucial for various bodily functions, including hydration, nerve function, and muscle health.
In 2024, many people are turning to mineral supplements and electrolyte-enhanced beverages to ensure they are getting the necessary nutrients.
Plain water is out. Mineral, electrolyte, and probiotic infused drinks are in!
Natural sources of minerals, like Himalayan salt (sole) water and mineral-rich spring water, are also gaining popularity. These options help replenish essential electrolytes lost through sweat and daily activities, promoting better hydration and overall well-being.
There’s even gut-building hydration powder packets now (Blume is my favorite), filled with prebiotics, probioticss, apple cider vinegar, vitamins, and electrolytes! I add these to my water daily to boost hydration and gut health.
#5 Body care
Body care is receiving increased attention as people look beyond traditional skincare to embrace comprehensive routines that nourish the entire body.
This year, there is a growing trend towards body care that includes exfoliation, hydration, and skin barrier support for the entire body.
This focus on body care highlights the importance of treating our skin with the same care and attention we give to our faces!
Products like body serums and dry brushes are becoming staples in many self-care routines. Plus, practices such as regular massages, lymphatic drainage techniques, and the use of body oils infused with essential oils are gaining popularity for their ability to improve skin health and promote relaxation.
