How To Make Wellness Shots
These immunity shots are full of vitamin c and are my go-to when I start to feel sicker have sore throat, or just need an energy boost. A quick juice shot is a great option to help boost the immune system since they’re rich in vitamins and nutrients! To make your own shots at home, you will need fresh fruits like pineapple, lemon, fresh turmeric, and ginger. I also like to add wheatgrass to my wellness shots rotation since it’s rich in chlorophyll and is known to flush toxins from your body and digestive system.
Step One: Pick which wellness shot recipe you’re going to start with and prep the ingredients as needed (my recipes are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this page).
Step Two: Add the items to your juicer or blender. If blending, add a little coconut water of filtered water. Then, strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer. If juicing, process the fruits through the juicer.
Step Three: Pour the juices into bottles (preferable glass) and refrigerate until you’re ready to drink.
Tips For Making Shots
- Make sure that you clean all the ingredients well.
- Measure properly so you get the most out of your ingredients.
- Make sure to drink a full glass of water after your shot, to ensure it doesn’t irritate your digestive track.
- Before drinking these shots make sure to shake well, to get the shot mixed well.
- You can make them in advance and store in the fridge before serving them up.
- If theses DIY wellness shots are too bitter for you, try adding in some fresh apple juice to sweeten them. You can also dilute them with water.
FAQ
Many people don’t have juicers, so these instructions are geared towards the main population. I do give instructions on how to make them in a juicer as well for those who have one.Â
Depending on your needs you might find that some take these daily wellness shot – one to two times a day. Just place in small bottles in the fridge and then just grab and drink when you are needing that boost. Most do a morning and an evening for a well balance of the immune system support.
Depending on the ingredients will depend on the flavor. You will find shots that the shots with fruit will offer a sweet flavor. Where other might have more a spicy or tangy flavor. Fresh ginger has a punch of flavor so it is where you find heat from these shots.Â
You can head to a craft or even wellness store to buy single serve shot containers. Or you can shop online and ship it straight from Amazon or another online shop right to your door. Or if you don’t want to have a single serve container, just use a mason jar. I suggest using a small jar, since these shots are single serving. Then shake well and pour into your shot cup each time you take these fruit and ginger shot recipes.
