What is peach syrup?
Peach syrup is a flavoring agent that embodies the sweet juicy taste of ripe peaches. It’s usually made by combining cut up peaches with sugar and water, and then boiling the ingredients together in a saucepan on medium heat. The resulting liquid is strained to get rid of the peach chunks, leaving us with peach syrup!
It’s mainly used to add a fruity and sweet flavor to cocktails and other beverages, and brings out a summer vibe no matter the season! Peach syrup is a popular addition to tea as well, and can be used to make a homemade ice tea!
How to use peach syrup for flavoring
Peach syrup is used to add the sweet, fruity, and juicy flavor of peaches into many things!
Now, you can use it in different baked recipes and for cooking, like pancakes and waffles, but it’s mainly used as a flavoring agent for beverages. For example, adding 1-2 pumps in things like tea or soda water can create some delicious flavors, and you can make a ton of cocktails like peach bellinis or peach margaritas!
Use a pump or two to flavor standard drinks, or about 1-3 tablespoons. Now, this can really depend on your preferences, and I recommend you start with just a bit of peach syrup and add more as desired, as you don’t want the taste to become too overpowering!
And feel free to experiment with it! Many people love using peach syrup in things like coffee and cappuccinos as well, as it’ll add some delightful twists! Plus, mixing it into your greek yogurt, oatmeal, or ice cream can be a very fun addition too!
Top recipes for peach syrup
On top of adding peach syrup to your tea, coffee, and cocktails, you can use it in things like:

Now, peach syrup is usually made with sugar as a main ingredient, but not everyone prefers that – which is understandable! In that case, this peach syrup is made for you.
It still boasts a sweet flavor that’s absolutely delicious and peachy, but that comes at the cost of having artificial flavors. That being said, it tastes like the real thing, and you can enjoy it with a sugar-free diet!
Ingredients: Water, natural flavors, citric acid, acesulfame potassium, sodium benzoate (to preserve freshness), potassium sorbate (to preserve freshness), xanthan gum, sucralose, caramel color, FD&C red #40, FD&C yellow #6, FD&C yellow #5.
Others we reviewed
As you can see, there are a ton of awesome options when it comes to finding a great peach syrup. That being said, not all products are great…
One of those products that didn’t make the cut is from Peach Reà l. It’s not because it doesn’t taste good, as it really does and is very well received, but there are simply too many preservatives in it, which is unnecessary and makes the product less ideal from a natural standpoint.
Another product we don’t recommend is from DaVinci Gourmet. They have some great flavoring agents, but their peach syrup misses the mark because it has artificial flavors in it. The only time we’d consider using artificial flavors in a syrup is if it’s sugar-free, which is not the case with DaVinci Gourmet.
We here at Coconut Mama value natural ingredients and don’t like artificial stuff unless it’s absolutely necessary, and all the options in the rankings above fit our criteria much better, so check those out over these two!
