This easy-to-make DIY foaming hand soap takes seconds to make and uses ingredients you probably have in your cleaning supplies!

There are many uses for castile soap. I always keep a big bottle of it on hand so I can make easy DIYs like this foaming hand soap all-purpose cleaner, soft scrub, and makeup remover pads!
What’s excellent about castile soap is that you only need to use a small amount of it to make a powerful cleaner. I usually go through 1-2 bottles a YEAR, which is so much cheaper than buying household products.
DIY Foaming Hand Soap Recipe
You’ll need a foaming soap bottle, castile soap, liquid oil (like fractionated coconut oil or olive oil), vitamin e or rosemary antioxidant (natural preservative), essential oils and distilled water. If distilled water isn’t available, use boiled water and allow it to cool before adding to the soap pump.

Pour the castile soap, fractionated coconut oil, vitamin e oil, and essential oils into the soap container.

Mix well then add in 10-12 ounces of water. Leave enough room at the top of the bottle so you can shake to mix the soap together.

In order to to mix oil and water and keep it from separating & having to shake before ea. Use. I use a polysorbate 20. The liquid emulsifier.
Do you need to shake to mix each time you use, or does it not separate?
This is our go-to for homemade foaming soap. I always mix up the carrier oil, but it’s usually a combo or jojoba, sweet almond, FCO, and/or apricot kernel oil. It’s a great one to make with kiddos.
Thank you so much for the recipe!
I don’t have the Castile soap, but I pretty well have the rest. Thanks for the great info!
Excited to try this! Do you think I can substitute another oil for the fractionated coconut oil? I’ve got jojoba and sweet almond oil on hand 🙂
Yes! I’ve used olive oil, almond oil and fractionated coconut oil. All work well and help keep your hands from drying out.
I gave all those ingredients so will try making it tomorrow 😀
Hi well kinda funny to me , I don`t have 1 of those ingredients in my house.
