Everytime I have made a DYI Face Cream, it never stays light and fluffy. It always hardens. Last one I made had no beeswax. Does yours harden or does it stay whipped and fluffy?
This did not whip up AT ALL. It was incredibly difficult to work with, and even with the added beeswax, it remained soupy and runny. I’m incredibly disappointed. It feels greasy on the skin and doesn’t feel nearly as luxurious as the thick, creamy stuff in all the pictures. I’m so disappointed.
Thank you for sharing your Beauty Face Cream recipe! I can’t wait to try it! I am curious why you’ve only put 5d Frank and 3d Myrrh in 4oz of carrier, when a 1% dilution allows for a total of 24 drops. Is there a reason why you have been so conservative?
Hi just wanted to share that I use coconut oil with frankincense every morning for oil pulling. Just pop two teaspoons and 2 drops of oil in my mouth for 15 – 20 mins whilst in the shower …feels great, really clean after I’ve brushed my teeth. Going to try adding Myrhh!
Hi Tiffany,
How to store this face cream? I have not tried using frankincense and myrrh beauty face cream and I guess this is a good remedy to my evening routine as a moisturizer. Thanks!
Hi,
I want to try this Frankincense face cream but how would I know if the Frankincense oil is pure and natural? Which brand do I use? And what is the shelf life of this face cream and how do I store it? Thanks for sharing!
I use Young Living! The cream has a 6 month shelf life. I store in on my counter. 🙂
I had the worst time with my beeswax. It would seize up hard as soon as I added it. I tried adding it to the vitamin e oil and I tried adding it to the cream. Any suggestions or thoughts?
Ingredients for beeswax says: organic cera flava (beeswax). Thanks for any tips or help!!
Hi Tiffany! Thank you for your post! I have really started investigating natural beauty products lately and absolutely love incorporating essential oils. I am hesitant to start a face regimen with an oil carrier base rather than a typical lotion moisturizer. Do you find that coconut oil causes flare ups? I would think using an oil wouldn’t sit well under make-up too. Is this your daily moisturizer too? Thank you!!
Where can I get the Frank oil you use? I looked in your shop but didn’t see it there. Also, what myrrh do you use? I really want to try this recipe. It looks great; thanks for sharing it!
HI Vicki I’m very sorry for mistyping your name
½ Ounce heep seed oil – is that meant to read Hemp seed oil? [see Frankincense and Myrrh Beauty Face Oil]
Yes! Thank you for pointing that out. Fixing it now.. 🙂
What brand do you recommend for the Frankincense and Myrrh?
★★★★★
I am a big fan of coconut oil and use it as often as I can, however, I am disappointed to learn that it does not suit my skin as a moisturizer. I made the Frankincense and Myrrh Beauty Face Cream and it dried out my skin very badly so I used just coconut oil instead. On my body it is fine but on my face it is too drying.
Thanks for the recipe. I love Frankincense and use it often but now that i know how well it goes with Myrhh I will give this a go. Thanks again.
Coconut oil makes my skin break out. I am wondering if you think mango butter could be substituted for the coconut butter maybe a lesser amount because it is a harder butter. Any thoughts?
Can’t wait to try these. Do you ever use the Scared 7 face serum?
I’m disappointed that the giveaway is only for US and Canada. What is the reason for this?
This is SO FLIPPING FRUSTRATING!!! I’m trying to read all the comments and responses but every time I scroll to finish what I’m reading the “post your comments” window keeps popping up & interrupting me!!!…
Maybe it’s a glitch on your web page but I just want to close this page & move on because of it grrrr hope I’m the only one experiencing this because I’d hate for you to be loosing out on “feet”.. because of a bad web design…
I’m sorry the page was interrupting you! I’ll take a look and see if I can figure it out. So sorry 🙁
I love using coconut oil as a face cream! So simple and nourishing. I’ll give this recipe a try. 🙂
