Why buy vapor rub from the store when you can make a non-toxic coconut oil chest rub in the comfort of your home!

I’m not a big fan of some over the counter products and pain relievers. Most of them tend to have hidden ingredients or substances like petroleum or parabens which are both known carcinogens! Herbs and oils are very powerful and can give the same relief as OTC products, but without toxic chemicals or negative side effects.
Ready to try out some natural chest rubs? Below are two recipes for making coconut oil chest rub: one for adults and one that is safe for children.
Why Two Recipes?
Essential oils can be 10,000 to 100,000 times more potent than the herb itself. My chest rub recipe for children uses eucalyptus and peppermint herbs instead of essential oils for safety. Then I added lavender and chamomile essential oils to the rub for their calming effects. These essential oils are considered safe for children. You can learn more about safety with essential oils for children here.
Coconut Oil Chest Rub Recipe
My recipe for Adult Chest Rub is very effective and does contain eucalyptus (on caution list for young children). Please don’t use this recipe on children 10 and under.

Tiffany,
Hi, I love your site and emails, but was wondering why you do not have a print button for your recipes? I have to copy and paste the recipe or write it down. It would be so much easier if you had the button. OR am I missing it?? LOL
Thanks so much and enjoy your recipes for food and healthcare..have made a few of them.

Coconut mama, how often can this be applied daily? Thanks!
I made my own mint oil from regular vegetable oil and my mint from my garden, call me crazy, but i steep mint in my hot water only 1/8 full bathtub, then i shut water off let steep like tea, add warm water when i am ready for my bath crumble up the mint put it on the shower shelf and put plug in next day for my shower, and then if it is still smelling good, i repeat for a few days.
Coconut mama, I can’t find the recipe for your winter skin soap? I’m new to your sight and thrilled to be here!

In the cold season, this would be perfect. I will surely make this! Thanks for sharing.
how effective is this? And how long it can be kept stored?
So no beeswax for the kids version? how long will this keep?
I have all the ingredients except the beeswax. Is it necessary for the rub?
No, you can leave it out. It just won’t be as thick as what you see in the picture.
Thanks
What’s the weight in grams or ounces for the beeswax? I buy mine in bulk from a honey farm and chip away at it. Thanks:)
