However, if you’re on a keto diet, you may be avoiding smoothies since they tend to be higher in sugar. Well, this keto smoothie recipe doesn’t spike your blood sugar and is a great alternative to high-sugar smoothies. Made with a combination of simple ingredients like coconut milk, fresh or frozen strawberries, heavy whipping cream (or coconut cream), collagen peptides, and ice, this healthy smoothie is a great keto breakfast option!
Strawberry Keto Smoothie Recipe
For this recipe you will need 1/3 cup of strawberries (I used frozen berries), 1 cup unsweetened almond milk(other nut milks like macadamia and coconut are good substitutes), 1 cup ice cubes, 3 tablespoons heavy cream or coconut cream, 2 tablespoons monk fruit sweetener (or other sugar substitute), 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and a scoop of collagen powder.
Measure out all the ingredients and add them to a high-speed blender or Vitamix. Next, blend on high until the consistency is smooth and creamy. Then, pour the keto strawberry smoothie into a tall 12-ounce glass. Serve cold.
