Hello, pure refreshment! (And thanks, Starbucks, for the inspiration.) When guava is combined with pineapple and ginger, well, It’s just kind of the perfect beverage.
In case you’ve never had guava fruit before, it tastes like a strawberry and pear were blended together with a few flowers.
How delightful is that?
And then when it’s combined with coconut milk, well, let’s just say that all is right in the world.
This drink is the perfect afternoon treat because it’s light, and bright, and it always puts a big smile on my face.
And isn’t that what you look for in a drink?

Starbucks guava passionfruit drink ingredients + tips and substitutions
These ingredients are mostly simple and straightforward. Check out the international section for guava juice!
- ¼ cup pineapple juice
- 1½ cups guava juice
- ½ cup coconut milk, well stirred. You CAN replace this with coconut cream instead, just means it’ll be a little creamier (which is never a bad thing).
- 1 tablespoon passionfruit juice
- 1 tablespoon pineapple ginger simple syrup, for which you’ll need:
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- ½ cup cold water
- 3 inches ginger, peeled, and thinly sliced
I really enjoy keeping simple syrup on hand for everything from fruit drinks, to mocktails, to cocktails. And a good way to make sure that it’s always there when the mood strikes is to freeze it in ice cube trays! Just freeze the cubes, and store them in a plastic bag. They start to melt nearly immediately when you combine them with a beverage, so there’s no need to even defrost them!
