Dole Whip is a soft serve ice cream dessert sold at Disneyland and other Disney parks. It has a creamy texture with pineapple and coconut flavors. I love to make it in the summer when it’s hot, and I need something cold and refreshing to sip on.
Dole Whip Ingredients
Part of the genius of this dole whip recipe is how simple it is! Just four ingredients:
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/3 cup cold coconut milk, lite or full fat (make sure you get high-quality stuff, either by buying one of these top coconut milk brands or by making your own coconut milk at home)
- 3 cups frozen pineapple
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream, homemade or store-bought (I used homemade coconut ice cream)
How To Make Disney’s Dole Whip Recipe (Copycat)
For this pineapple dole whip recipe, you’ll need pineapple juice, coconut milk, frozen pineapple chunks, and vanilla ice cream. Chill the ingredients prior to making this recipe, or the whip will not be thick.
Add all the ingredients into a food processor bowl or high-speed blender. Blend on high for 30-45 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Taste the mix and add more juice if needed and blend again.
Disney dole whip is thick and will need to be scrapped out of the mixer bowl with a spatular or ice cream scooper.
Scoop the mixture into glass cups and serve immediately. Alternatively, you can use a piping bag and swirl the dole whip into serving dishes. Top with whipped cream, fresh-cut pineapple, or mango slices, and serve.
Recipe Variations:
- Vegan & Dairy-Free: Instead of dairy I used my homemade coconut ice cream to make this recipe, and it tasted fabulous!
- Strawberry Whip: Replace the frozen pineapple chunks with 1 1/2 cups of frozen strawberries and 1 1/2 cups of frozen raspberries. Add a tablespoon of lime juice or lemon juice and blend well. Follow the instructions as listed in the recipe card.
- Dole Whip Float Recipe: Scoop the dole whip out on top of pineapple juice or pineapple soda and serve like a root beer float!

I haven’t tried it, but I think it’ll be fine.

This is going to be a fabulous summer treat. I’ll make it with my favourite Canadian sugar-free ice cream, Keto Skream, for a no added sugar version. Can’t wait to make it! 💕
