In today’s installment of “food I will never eat,” we have a mac & cheese milkshake that’s been very popular on TikTok.
(And yes, before you ask, it does have a shredded cheese rim. Because of course it does!)
Listen, I’m all about trying new things, but this is a bridge too far.
I like mac & cheese, and I like milkshakes, but they do NOT go together.

If you’re bored and looking to try something edgier in the kitchen – plus you want that sweet, cold fix you get from milkshakes and other frozen drinks…I have some suggestions:
8 better frozen drinks you can make right now
(And bonus: Most of them are dairy-free!)
- Coconut shake. Love milkshakes but want to do something a little edgier than vanilla or chocolate? You don’t have to go full mac & cheese – try out this delicious coconut shake recipe! Comes with a toasted coconut rim so you don’t have to use shredded cheese.
- Lemon cheesecake shake. While this has dairy (heavy cream and cream cheese), you can sub in coconut cream for the heavy cream and a dairy-free option for the cream cheese – so this cheesecake shake recipe converts easily to dairy-free. Bonus? It’s protein-rich and Keto-friendly!
- Apple cider vinegar smoothie. Want to go even edgier than Keto? Try The Coconut Mama’s apple cider vinegar smoothie recipe. It’s delicious, simple to make, and comes packed with lots of nutritious fruits and veggies.
- Keto mojito smoothie. Listen, I don’t think I have to do a whole lot to sell this one. It’s a smoothie that tastes like a mojito, comes packed with delicious coconut cream, avocado, lime, and mint…and it’s Keto-friendly. And totally dairy-free!)
- Mango smoothie. Again, it’s all in the name. Mangoes are delicious, mango smoothies are incredibly refreshing on a hot day. Treat yourself to this fantastic summer delight (which is super easy to make since it’s just a two-ingredient recipe. Doesn’t get simpler than that!)
- Pina colada smoothie. Do you like getting caught in the rain? (Sorry, couldn’t resist.) Another delicious, tropical, summer drink. The coconut milk makes it dairy-free and delicious.
- Keto strawberry smoothie. Ok, “technically” this is a smoothie, but since it’s blended with coconut cream and almond milk, it tastes a lot more like a milkshake. A fantastic way to cool down on a hot summer’s day.
- Coconut margarita. This is a nice sweet take on a margarita – instead of the traditional 1:1:1 tequila : triple sec : lime juice, you instead have two parts tequila…and add three parts cream of coconut to make a sweeter, thicker drink. (Plus, toasted coconut on the rim.) Highly recommend this delicious coconut margarita recipe.
All that said, if you’re here for the mac & cheese milkshake…well, I don’t blame you. I can’t look away from it myself.
